For repairs, we assess the full structure before recommending what needs replacing versus what can be saved. Rotting boards, unstable posts, failing railings, and deteriorating ledger connections are all things we handle — we don't patch cosmetic problems while ignoring structural ones.

For refinishing, we strip old stain or paint, sand to bare wood, and apply a fresh finish that holds up to Iowa's freeze-thaw cycles and UV exposure. We'll tell you honestly whether refinishing makes sense or whether repair or replacement is the better call first.
